This was then exposed to sunlight before being washed to reveal the final image. The flowers and hummingbird were also made with the cyanotype process. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCyanotypes are archival and can last for more than a century, but are best displayed out of direct, strong sunlight. If they do begin to fade over the years, you can place them in the dark for a week or two and, like magic, they will regain their full colour.
